Myotherapy works to identify the underlying cause of injury to aid in rehabilitation and relief.
Reiki
Reiki works on your chakra system (energy). As we get older and life happens to us, our energy system can get blocked, causing all sorts of havoc in our lives. The Reiki energy helps to get that energy moving again.

Leisa Blanch
Naturopath
Welcome. I’m Leisa, director and lead naturopath at Gisborne Health Essentials.
My mission is to advance human potential.
Ive guided thousands of clients and customers to reclaim their energy, their purpose, their presence and their capacity to thrive in modern society.
My approach is integrative and preventative – addressing metabolic health, hormonal balance, nervous system regulation, inflammatory drivers, and energy production at a systems level.
Whether you’re feeling run-down or burnt out, anxious or stressed, not sleeping well, navigating hormonal shifts, supporting immune or heart health, dealing with complex health challenges, or simply feeling that your body isn’t functioning at its best – you don’t have to do it alone.
I also work with people who feel “mostly okay” but know they have more potential, those who want to feel clearer, stronger and more energised.
My approach is deeply individualised and supportive. Together, we focus on restoring balance, building long-term vitality and creating sustainable health that supports you now, and into the future. So you can enjoy steady energy for a big life, without burning yourself out.
Be empowered to take charge of your health.
Gain clarity and direction.
Feel supported and nurtured through every step of your personalised journey with me.

Sierra Hall
Naturopath
I’m Sierra, a degree-qualified naturopath with an approach centred on inclusive, collaborative, and achievable care.
I don’t believe health needs to come from strict rules or unecessary restriction, so I focus on practical, sustainable strategies that work within your capacity. Education and shared decision making are central to my work, so you understand what we’re doing and why.
I have a particular interest in supporting people with fertility, and reproductive health conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, PMS and PMDD, bringing personal insight and lived experience which shapes the empathy, understanding and realism I bring to your care.

Rebecca Mullins
Counselling
Bec is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and a proud Gisborne local. As a mum of two, she understands first-hand the joys, challenges, and overwhelm that can come with parenting and the many roles we juggle in everyday life.
Bec works with people from adolescence through to later adulthood, but she has a special passion for supporting parents. She enjoys helping parents navigate the emotional side of raising children, exploring how our own childhood experiences can shape the way we show up in parenting today.
Her approach to counselling is holistic and flexible, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to support the whole person. Bec aims to create a warm, down-to-earth space where people feel comfortable, understood, and supported as they work through challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves.

Michele Downes
Acupuncturist
Hi, I am Michele, a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner who provides quality complementary healthcare to the community.
Each person is unique, and my belief is that by understanding all aspects of a person’s health (both mind and body), treatment can be tailored to achieve long-term health goals.
I treat people with many conditions and have a particular interest in supporting people with fertility issues, chronic pain, and stress related symptoms. Indeed, many people may be experiencing a range of health issues which is why a holistic approach to treatment is beneficial.
My approach incorporates a range of techniques such as acupuncture, cupping, tuina (Chinese massage), moxibustion, gua sha and ear candling. We also discuss possible dietary and lifestyle changes or Chinese Herbal remedies to further assist this process and achieve lasting results

Tom Moore
Remedial Massage Therapist
& Myotherapist
Hi, my name is Tom, I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and Myotherapist from the Melbourne Institute of Massage and Myotherapy. Growing up in Gisborne, I have always loved playing sport in my free time and staying as active as I can.
I am passionate about the human body and how it functions, and am always trying to continually learn and improve as a therapist. My approach to wellbeing is that everyone is unique, and our bodies work in different ways. I always try to keep an open mind so that I can achieve the best outcome for every client.
I use a wide range of techniques including Myofascial Tension, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping, Ischemic Pressure and Transverse Frictions. All aim to assist people in improving and maintaining health and limiting the chances of any reoccurring disfunctions in the body.
My treatment method addresses pain first, then works on increasing range of movement and correcting posture. I believe this can improve how we perform everyday tasks and positively impacts our physical health and wellbeing.
I am excited to be part of the team at Gisborne Health Essentials and help as many people as I can along the journey.

Daryl Mitchell
Kinesiologist, Reiki, QiGong & Bowen Therapist
Daryl is a fascinating character with an even more fascinating history. It’s equally accurate to describe him as a motorbike-riding, rock muso from Queensland, as an insightful, passionate healer, humbled by the ancient teachings and wisdom passed down to him.
Following his own personal health challenges as a young person, Daryl was inspired to learn from other cultures and practices and began working with and learning more about vital energies and Qi through martial arts training, which eventually lead to a lifelong passion for natural health. Daryl has trained, practised, taught, and lectured in Australia and around the world, learning from some of the world’s oldest and most authentic traditional healers.
His passions lie in supporting people through life’s challenges.
In addition to one-on-one consultations, Daryl holds QiGong classes at GHE and is the mastermind behind the ZEN KI Energy products.

Caitlin Lewis
Naturopath
Hi, I’m Caitlin.
I have a special interest in gut health, hormone health and fertility, and their related conditions. For example, are you someone who experiences regular bloating, abdominal cramping, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux, pms or acne? Do you find you have to restrict your diet to exclude too many foods (AKA the famous FODMAP diet) to try and avoid these symptoms and to keep your gut happy? Or perhaps you’ve been told you’ve got IBS and that it’s just something you have to live with..? I would love to help you! I am particularly interested in the gut microbiome and creating a strong, healthy, and dynamic internal ecosystem that supports your overall health.
Please note I am currently practising online via zoom consults, only while I enjoy some sunshine up north.
